The week of Dec 15–19 is Tahoma High School’s (THS) last spirit week of 2025. With the end of 2025 and the nearing end of the semester comes a time for everyone to celebrate their accomplishments through a shared week of displaying school spirit.
Akshita Agarwal, a leadership student at Tahoma High School explains, “Spirit weeks bring people together… it’s a chance to let go a little… and to enjoy the company of their peers.”
Being united as a school makes students feel less alone which leads to an increased sense of belonging. Business Insider states that “At a time when so many students feel isolated among peers, school spirit days can facilitate community bonding by increasing interaction and engagement.”
THS Spirit Week Schedule:
Mon 15: Pajama Day
Show your school spirit by staying comfy.
Tues 16: Holiday Hat Day
Celebrate your favourite winter holiday with a fun hat.
Wed 17: Twin Day
Find a friend to match with to exhibit school spirit.
Thurs 18: Flannel/Plaid Day

When polling anonymous THS students, many agreed that spirit days are an enjoyable experience and that it “makes a difficult week feel a bit lighter.”
The weeks leading up the midterms are a race to make sure all of your assignments are turned in and all tests are completed. Spirit days lighten the mood, allowing students to take a break and have fun with their classmates—joining in and making connections.
While not everyone participates, those who do love when spirit weeks come around as they allow them to enjoy the community Tahoma works so hard to create; boosting morale and making students enjoy their time at THS.
