If you’re in Maple Valley, and looking for something to do, you’re out of luck. There’s no mall, no bowling alley, and no movie theater. Just some shops and restaurants. However, there is one thing: the Haunted Forest!
The Haunted Forest is a seasonal attraction, where people walk through a forest at night while actors try to scare them. It’s also open in the daytime if that sounds too scary. You can go with your family, friends, or just by yourself.
There’s a new theme each year to keep things fresh, except for a certain part at the end that they do every year. But, do people like it?
When asking ten students from THS their opinion on the Haunted Forest, these were some of the results:
Almost everyone said the same thing, exclaiming that it was fun, and most people said it was a good activity to do with friends. Many people also said it was scary, but some said that it wasn’t. The overall consensus was positive. A lot of people enjoy the Haunted Forest.
When asking an anonymous volunteer at the Haunted Forest, he said, “The Haunted Forest is honestly an amazing experience, going through and working. It’s definitely a big part of Maple Valley and something everyone should check out.”As for if it’s scary he said:
“Depends on who you are, we like to make it scary by playing on people’s personal and just general fears.”
The Haunted Forest is open on Fridays & Saturdays from 7 PM to 11 PM. It is open from Sep 27 to Oct 31. You can find more info on their website here: https://hauntedforestofmaplevalley.org/about-us
