Hi, my name is Sophie Goodgion. Writing has just recently become something that I enjoy doing. For the longest time, I would dread writing essays for classes because I hated being limited to specific requirements. Essays were really the only writing I did, so I had built up a reputation that all writing was bad. However, last year I started to blog about world issues that were important to me and I realized that I actually enjoyed doing it. This birthed my writing career...... just kidding, I actually stopped writing for a bit. Then I started taking this class and my passion for documenting world issues has come back. The cool thing about journalism is that media comes in all forms, so not only can I write, but I can also film. The most important thing to me is that I write or film something that matters. I think that media has the power to shape people's views about things, and I think the biggest thing is that people hear the truth. So yea, that's me.
