Advice for Future Freshman

Hello Future Freshman, here is a list of advice to help you feel more welcomed here at Tahoma High School.

  • Make friends with a senior or an upperclassman. What I have found is when you make friends with an older person, they make you feel included and welcomed. I was able to ask questions about school and I found this extremely helpful.
  • The second piece of advice I can give is for you to join a sport, club, or activity. Being involved in an extracurricular adds to the overall sense of belonging and it is a great way for you to make friends.
  •  The third piece of advice  I can give is to eat Lunch with an upperclassman and meet New People
  • The Fourth piece  of advice I can give is Don’t hold on to your Middle School friends make some New High school Friends they can Be With you the longest
  • The Fifth piece of advice  I can give you  stay off your phone in class if you want a better grade
  • The Sixth piece of advice I can give you Really make your grades important in your High school your freshman year determains where your starting point is
