My Experience Of Running Track for the First Time

My Experience Of Running Track for the First Time

Owen Moniz, Journalist

Well my experience of running track was that I got to PR every meet and get to get better for me to become  Varsity next year. I hope I make it to Leagues, Districts, and then State. Next year is my year to become better and to become a Varsity  member of the Track/Field Team. The community is a great community, you get to make new friends and meet new people. The great thing about track is I had no experience of running track and I was about able to run personal bests. If you are wondering what PRs stand for it stands for Personal Record. You get to go to dual meets and get to go to invites, and at the end of the season, you get to have a team banquet. The best part is that you get to cheer on your teammates and be apart of a great community. I enjoyed cheering on the High Jump/Hurdle Crew and hanging out with them. One lesson I learned was to not beat yourself up when you do not PR and when track ends, join  Tahoma’s Cross Country Team. Registering for Spring Sport  must be done through Family ID and summer sports must be registered through Family ID
