North Pacific Juniors Volleyball

NPJ is the North Pacific Juniors beach and court volleyball club. NPJ is located in Salem, Seattle, Bend and Portland. NPJ has grown so much over the course of many years. NPJ originally did not have a Seattle location but in 2020 took over a building in Kent, WA from Kent Juniors VBC. But as a new transition for the 2023 season, NPJ took over the Performance Zone at the Fieldhouse. Full of new opportunities of this much larger location in Auburn, NPJ has been at its best.

For the Fieldhouse location, this has opened many opportunities for NPJ Seattle. This has given the chance of having more teams because the Fieldhouse’s large property. This new home for NPJ Seattle opens up many new opportunities and room for new people.

Being on a team at NPJ is like being in another family. There are many teams based off of skill and age. Like most teams around the US, there are many people who arrive at tryouts. If you are planning to tryout this July for NPJ, it is recommended to have club experience, years of experience in volleyball and bring a good attitude. Current NPJ 15’s setter Abbi Grady says her favorite part of being on NPJ is “The coaches and how the director Paula Schwan makes sure all coaches are the best they can be.” Abbi also states, “The coaches make sure to get to know you before the season at camps and during the season.” All in all Abbi loves the family and the aspect of the environment of NPJ.

In a wrap, NPJ volleyball has been a great experience to many Seattle volleyball players. Summer camps will be scheduled for summer 2023 so those who are interested in NPJ can see for themselves what NPJ has to offer.
