Tahoma high’s DECA  went to state. For people that don’t know DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) is a group of marketing students that go to competitions and conferences to develop their business and leadership skills.

Those who went  to state this year are Alyssa Chambo, Tanveer Grewel, Stella Coffaro, Jonathan Gerena, Kaycee Kaithula, Debra Erendemandakh, Sophie Artemidze, Shawna Sanjay, Kuraisha Khan, Kira Corona, Zoey Mann, Simra Babar, Joe Young, Rylie Benjamin, Jaidev Raval, Emmalin Sisa At, and Olivia Lut.

There are many different events for DECA and each event is either a roleplay or a manual. An example of some events are Marketing, Business Management + Administration, Hospitality + Tourism, Finance, and even more.

State this year was held in Bellevue at multiple conference areas. State was Mar 4, 2022 all day in Bellevue. The students left early in the morning to compete. Three Tahoma students advanced to Nationals to be held in Atlanta.
