In the third film to M. Night Shyamalan’s series, Glass is an action and thriller-packed movie. As the sequel to Unbreakable and Split, it brings all three main characters together, such as Kevin Crumb, Mr. Glass, and David Dunn. As most of the movie takes place in a psychiatric hospital where the trio are in containment, it certainly builds tension to the climax. Outside the hospital, the film reintroduces characters such as Casey Cooke, Joseph Dunn, and Mrs. Price encountering each other, and attempting to understand the situation of the possibility of superhumans.

Overall, the pacing of the movie was slightly slow, but still kept that foreboding sense of dread. Most of the fight scenes were emotional and gritty, and definitely displayed the raw intensity of it all. The constantly shifting relationships between characters was uneasy, with secrets always seeming to be right around the corner. There were also some scenes that were borrowed from Split and Unbreakable that fans recognized from the previous two movies.

The biggest surprise, was the introduction of several plot twists. The first being the revealing of a secret organization whose job is to put down superhumans, both good and evil. The second was the ending, as it turns out Mr. Glass uploaded videos of their feats of strength, so the whole world could know. The overall ending of the movie was heart wrenching, yet disappointing. The final showdown was anti-climatic, being in a parking lot. Also, the two plot twists were not necessary, although some astonishing secrets revealed did tie certain events together neatly. Glass is an acceptable movie to watch, and does contain that sense of fear and action from the series before it.
