Girls Swim Makes a Splash at State

Nathan Hagen, Staff

The Tahoma Girls Swim and Dive team did exceptionally well at State this year. With a total of six new school records and Tahoma swimmers in nine finals, the Lady Bears have never done better. They broke all eleven records during the season. The highlights was when freshman Hannah Weissman took the state title in the 100 backstroke and when the medley relay took 3rd place and had the 6th fastest time in Washington state history. On that relay, only one swimmer was a senior, so three swimmers may return next season. It is exciting to see what the Bears will accomplish in the future.
