Comparing This Football Team to Past Years

The Tahoma Bears Football team finished with a 3-6 record, with wins over Auburn, Auburn Riverside  And Mount Rainier, and losses against Kentlake, Kennedy, Beamer, Kentwood Enumclaw and Kentlake a second time. But instead of looking at the future, we would like to take a look back at past seasons and how they stack up to this season.

The average record for the Bears over the last 6 years is 5.5 which can be taken out of context as they have had 4 winning seasons out of the 6. This is a very solid accomplishment for the Bears, as a winning season is a tough thing to do. The Bears’ best season came in 2015 when they went 7-3 and capped out at 82 in the state rankings.

Dylan Shipley a Freshman on the team stated, “ we are a lot more close than other years and I think it’s working”. The Bears are coming together more collectively as a group which is good for team morals. Shipley also said,“ I love that our coaches care so much about us and they are all about family”. The Bears have a real family culture which ultimately helps the play of the golden bears.  Looking forward to next year the bears look like they could be a much-improved team with a lot of close games this year against Kentlake, twice, and Auburn Riverside. This Bears team has a lot of chemistry and should be a joy to watch for the future years to come.
