As we all know, the school year for Tahoma is coming to an end. It has been a great year so in this article we are gonna do a recap of some of the groups at Tahoma that you can be a part of next year. Not everything and group that has happened this year will be included as that would be a long and boring article to read, so we picked 2 different groups at Tahoma High School. The robotics Team, and Track And Field. Now, buckle in as we go over some of the amazing communities that happened during the 2023-2024 Tahoma High School year.
First, to recap is the robotic tournament, where our Tahoma high school robotics team went all the way to and finished at World semi finals. We interviewed Tristan Hutchinson, to talk about the robotics community, his favorite part of robotics, and what he had to say about it, and he replied with, “one of the best parts is meeting people similar to you, I can definitely say it would be harder to just go around trying to meet people with the same interests as you.” “There are a few people I’ve met through robotics, Matthew Smith I’m gonna call you out.” As we got to hear from Tristan, we learned how amazing the robotics community is, and it is a really amazing group to be a part of, if you are interested next school year.
And finally, the Track and field team. Tahoma’s track and field season just finished at state, so many PRs and friends were made during this amazing season. We interviewed Claire Nardella, a senior pole vaulter on the Tahoma track team. Our first question was, what do you love about track, and what makes it so special? In which she answered, “Probably the community, for instance, the pole vaulters where we’re together every single day for months straight, and it makes a really fun community of people who are willing to work really hard together and encourage each other.” Track has helped so many people connect while doing something they loved and have worked so hard to accomplish. We also had time to ask Nardella what the most interesting event in track was besides her own, in which she responded, “One of the distance events, like the 800, or mile, I can respect that.” Tahoma’s track team has had a great season, and will continue to do great things, so be sure to stay tuned for next season.
As this year comes to an end, we remember everything that has happened this year, and are excited for the new school year, where new friends and memories can be made. Though this isn’t the last article for this school year, we wish you a happy summer. So finish off this year strong and see you next year.
