Teens are at a mature age to do better for themselves and others. Teens should make responsible decisions when it comes inside and outside of school. Especially when it comes to learning things from school to driving their car onto school property. Students are at that point of life to know what’s good and bad and the right from wrong.
There has been a 50% increase in car accidents at Tahoma High School. It’s not the teachers, admins, or parents, it’s the students who are crashing into others and students speeding when it comes to driving to school or leaving school to go home. Students are responsible when it comes to their sake and other students’ sake, presenting the exact reason why students have to be responsible for what they do and how they do it. Students are at fault when it comes to their own actions.
Students are young adults and at the point of life where they can do better and make important decisions as it well reflects on their lives. There have been many altercations at school where that led to inappropriate language, violence, suspension, etc. Students are mature enough to be the bigger person they are and to walk away from a situation or tell an administrator, this way, the problem does not get bigger and it can get settled.
When should teens be responsible? Teenagers should be responsible when it comes to school and having their assignments in all of their classes done. Students should be responsible for their own learning and grades. When teenagers make the right choice there will always be a good outcome or a bad outcome. It depends on what they do and especially how they do it. Teenagers at Tahoma have responsibilities when it comes to school and outside of school.
