Here we are back at it again with free agency part 2 The Recap. In this article I will be discussing the 3 biggest winners of this year’s N.F.L Free Agency.
At number 1 I have The Atlanta Falcons New QB (Quarterback) Kirk Cousins. Not only has he gone to a stack Atlanta offense full of young talent, but an alright defense.
He also was signed to a 4 year $180 million dollar deal making about $40 million a year. And he also has $50 million dollars guaranteed.
This is an amazing deal for him and he’s going to be great in Atlanta. I even think they might make the playoffs.
With Boden Smith, my interviewee, having a similar opinion with the slight critique that the falcons may have overpaid for him.
In the number 2 spot on this list is now Eagles RB (Running Back), Saquon Barkley. Not only is Barkley going to an already playoff contention team. He’s going to one of the best offensive lines in the league which is very important as an RB.
He is also being paid $12.2 million a year on a 3 year, $37 million dollar contract. With this move, I feel Barkley will be an excellent player next year with this new team.
As well as Smith, saying with Jason Kelce retired and the tush push most likely not being a threat, they really needed to step up their rushing game.
And finally, last but not least, a 3rd spot on the list goes to Now Green Bay Packers RB Josh Jacobs. Where should I begin? He was already putting up great numbers on a terrible Raiders team rushing for 2,000+ yards in 2022.
Now that he’s signed with the Packers and a great young team already blooming with talent, he will most definitely be a top 3 RB next year as long as he can avoid injury.
Not to mention he is now being paid $12 million a year on a 4 year $48 million dollar deal with the packers. He’s going to be a real threat next year.
And that covers my top 3 free agency winners.
