Alright now that the NFL regular season is over and the off season has begun. Most people are wondering about the biggest part of the off season: Free agency.
If you don’t know what that is, you’re in luck. Free agency is when an NFL player whose contract expires does not sign back with their team whether its money, personal reasons or something else they don’t have to sign back. This is when they can join another team or maybe negotiate with their previous team. Now, that that’s covered will be discussing the top 5 free agents and where they may end up.
Number 1 Kirk Kousins, Kirk’s contract has finally ended and he has become a free agent but it’s said that the viking really want Kirk back but he wants more money than they can give him. Especially with the vikings having to pay other players such as justin jefferson in this next coming season i don’t think the viking can pay him what he wants.
The person I interviewed, Boden smith says “I think the vikings can make some cut and find a way to get him back but if not they might be screwed if they cant get a quarterback in this upcoming draft.”
Now we have number 2 free agent Chiefs Defensive Tackle Chris Jones. If I’m gonna be honest I don’t think Chris Jones is leaving Kansas city. I’m sure the chiefs will pay him enough to make him stay. He’s too much of an asset to let go of and I just can’t imagine him leaving especially after winning his 3rd super bowl with them.
With the number 3 spot we have Jaguars Edge Rusher Josh Allen. First things first with the jaguars not great season i can see him leaving with way more possible opportunities on another team i just dont think he’ll leave.
Boden agrees as he says “I feel it would be better for him to leave as any team would be happy to have a player like him.” Where he would go I don’t really know there a bunch of destinations but the rumors are the Jaguars might franchise tag him, which is where the team can force a player into a one year contract but it costs a lot of money.
Number 4 for this list is Christian Wilkins Dolphins Defensive Tackle. Like Chris Jones I don’t see him going anywhere. His team chemistry is really good and if the Dolphins have a good free agency and draft they could be serious contenders.
Now Last but not least Number 5 which is Justin Madubuike the Ravens Defensive tackle know him he might go somewhere or he might not. He was a big part of the ravens defense but I could see him going to another team if they pay him enough, but with there being a lot of ravens defensive free agents they might keep him.
But other then those guys there not many players of note and with that said and done thats all I’ve got for you this week.
