With Major League baseball coming back in late March, fans have a lot to look forward to. With last season being as entertaining as it was, this season can likely top it and be the most eventful season that fans have seen in a while. With the amount of signings and trades that were made in the offseason, this season is gonna be one for the books.
The MLB has over 500 million fans worldwide as of 2023 and part of this reason is because of all the big names in the league. Players like Ronald Acuna Jr and Shohei Ohtani are must-watch TV and are some of the most talented players to ever play the game. Another reason is the sheer amount of amazing teams. The past few seasons have been some of the most competitive in recent years. Teams like the Dodgers and Braves have so much star power it is just crazy. So many teams have not only one but multiple all-star caliber players.
There has been so much movement among players this year it’s hard to keep track. Shohei Ohtani has a record-breaking 10-year 700 million dollar contract with the Dodgers. Notable pitchers have signed large contracts as well. Players like Aaron Nola, Marcus Stroman, and Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
Andrew Dyk, an avid fan was quoted saying “I am especially excited to see what Julio Rodriguez does this season. This is the season to see if he can truly become one of the league’s best players and lead the mariners to success.” Many people know how great J Rod is but are curious to see if he can live up to the hype. Aaron Copeland, another fan, said “I am interested in seeing the super team that the Dodgers have assembled. With players like Ohtani, Teoscar Hernandez, Yamamoto, and Tyler Glasnow, it will be interesting to see if they can meet the expectations of everyone.”
This upcoming season will keep fans entertained and on the edge of their seats. With so many possible World Series contenders and competitive teams, it will leave fans very satisfied.
