When you ask most people, “what state has the worst drivers?” What do you think the most common responses are? Florida? Texas? California? Now while that could be true, it is very wrong. Drivers in Washington State are the worst.
Through data and research FOX 13 deemed Washington to be the ranked 2nd-worst state in the U.S. to drive in. The article states, “The study found Washington ranks 49th in the country for driving, earning decent marks for access to vehicles and maintenance, and not much else.” It also says, “The study finds Washington ranks 47th for cost of ownership and maintenance, 39th in traffic and infrastructure, 20th in safety and 16th in access to vehicles and maintenance. Contributing to its poor score are average gas prices, where it ranks 47th, and average maintenance costs, also 47th.”
This is a clear and concise piece of evidence resembling the appalling driving quality of drivers in this state. People are reckless in any form of motorized vehicles in this state.
Jack Basher, a Washington resident said, “Out of all the states I have driven through, Washington seems to be the most frustrating to drive in because of the drivers.” He later stated, “They are unsafe and unpredictable.”
You would think driving in all sorts of weather conditions and heavy traffic on a day-to-day basis would make Washingtonians sensible drivers, but that doesn’t seem to be the case.
Spencer Lanning, a former California citizen voiced “The difference between drivers in southern California and Washington is night and day.” He continued, “SoCal drivers are aggressive with a purpose and they know they can get from point A to point B. Washington drivers panic easily and are passive.” Washington drivers seem to get a bad rep, nonetheless, it appears to be justified by many.
