As we enter the season of winter sports, a popular and loved sport gymnastic has been killing it at Tahoma. With the gymnastic team going to districts and finishing their meets in the top 3 almost every time! The team always comes out with fantastic skill and performance levels. The team is very passionate about what they do and their passion is sure showing within their results!
We chose to interview two very special ladies on the gymnastic team who have a high skill level and passion for the sport.
Cordy Raulerson, manager of the Tahoma gymnastics team, and competitive gymnast for 10 years, has expressed both her love for the sport and her pride in the Tahoma team this year. Raulerson reached level 8 as an athlete with Metropolitan Gymnastics, and now has moved on to managing the team for Tahoma.
“ I help with just about everything when it comes to competition days and also I help a little bit with choreography. I help Emma, our coach, with anything she needs!”
Raulerson expresses how committed the team has been this year. They have been working hard and showing up on meet days to perform.
“I am proud of how much the team has grown throughout the season! Everyone has gotten new skills and learned so much! The season has been amazing! We have won almost every meet and are getting prepared for the postseason.”
Cora Dinadale, has been doing gymnastics since a very young age and has always loved it. It is her second year of doing gymnastics for Tahoma highschool. She has been helping coach the team for 3 months now and absolute loves it.
“The team is great and so is the coach, the team is very welcoming and always shows how proud they are of you. People can come to meets and cheer on Tahoma gymnastics.”
Dinadale expresses the love and passion within the team. The results have definitely been showing within their performance and the sportsmanship within the team is amazing.
The post season in quickly approaching. Raulerson explains that “we have leagues, districts, and the JV invite, and eventually state to come!” As the Tahoma bears kick off the postseason, come out and support the team while they battle it out to secure their spot at state this year.
