Reflecting on First Quarter 

Senior year is different for every student, it is special because it is not only their last year in school but it also can feel like your childhood is ending. Some seniors would want the year to last longer than any other school year, savoring their last time being in school , other students are fed up and done with school, just wanting to graduate as soon as possible.

With first quarter officially coming to an end, we are talking to different seniors about their thoughts on this topic. For this article we talked to Emerson Steiner, Eli Brennan, and Kage Reppen. We asked Emerson what he thought about his first quarter, He stated that he enjoyed the quarter, even more than any other highschool year. So we asked why he thought that his senior year so far has been better than the other high school years, he said “ because it has been easier than other years, and it’s also my last year.”  As we talked about his last year he told us that  he just wanted it to be over with, rather than taking it slow. So it’s safe to say that some people would agree with Emerson and want to put these 12 years of school behind them and look forward to what’s next. Eli on the other hand, was more for taking it slow and really really want to appreciate is last year in high school. He even said that “ It is going by really fast.” He hopes that by the last quarter it slows down.  “I’m lowkey feeling great im feeling like an academic weapon right now.” Kage Reppen. He has really enjoyed his first quarter and has finally wrapped up football so now he can focus on his grades, he said. “One thing that these seniors all had in common though, is that this first quarter went by really fast, too fast.”

So reflecting on seniors first quarter, there is many different feeling form senior to senior. We can agree with what we are hearing from the seniors,  this quarter went by too fast and is hoping that it goes slower as the year goes on. Me personally, I think that senior year has been going by really fast, but thats only because I can finally relax in school and I also do not have as much pressure on me it feels like, for many seniors that I have talked to it seems like they have had a good first quarter. So for me and many seniors we are enjoying our last year of school and going with the flow.
