Check out some new movies coming to theaters this November! Find a fun movie to watch with your friends and family. There is a wide variety to choose from; horror, fantasy, drama, comedy, and action! 

A horror movie to see this November is Thanksgiving! This is a horror or slasher film,  about a thanksgiving-inspired killer going around Massachusetts after a tragic Black Friday riot ends. It will be available in theaters on November 17, 2023. The running time is 1 hour and 46 minutes. It got an IMDB rating of 7/10 stars. It is rated-R for lots of blood, gore, violence, language, and some sexual material, so be aware of this before watching. A freshman, Ashlyn Saybe, says, “I love horror movies! like being on the edge of seat, it gives me a thrill. I personally think this one looks good.”

Another great upcoming film is, Napoleon, starring Joaquin Phoenix. It falls under the drama category, it’s about the rise and fall of French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte. Although the amount of stars it got has not been released, it does have an Oscar nomination. The running time is on the longer side of 2 hours and 38 minutes. Its set release date is on November 22, 2023. 

A fan-favorite series has a new movie coming out this month.  The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, comes out on November 17, 2023.  It follows young Coriolanus Snow (future president of Panem) and his tributes for the 10th Hunger Games. It falls under the drama action category, and it’s rated PG-13, and has a running time of 2 hours and 38 minutes. A Hunger Game fan, Sage DeVos exclaims, “I’m so excited for it to come out! It looks like it has a good story and plot.” So Hunger Game fans, get ready!

Here comes a new Disney animation, Wish! It’s rated PG-13 and is a musical fantasy, with lots of adventure and fun! A great movie to watch with your child or a little sibling. It has a running time of 1 hour and 35 minutes. It’s about a 17 year old girl named Asha who wishes on a star, and gets a more straight answer than she thought when a star comes down from the sky to join her.  This will premiere on November 22, 2023! 

Our upcoming comedy, Family Switch, is about family members who switch bodies with each other, and their hilarious journey gets back to normal. It is rated PG-13 and will be released November 30, 2023.
