The twinkling lights shone amidst the upcoming festivities. Within, dwelled inside a trove of enchanting aisles of an enchanting wonderland that consisted of a wide variety of unique spectacular arts and crafts. The room is filled with warm chatter and melodies to commemorate the holiday season ultimately forthcoming this winter season. Within this year, The Tahoma High School Band and Boosters were proud to participate in the 2023 Holiday Craft Bazaar, which was set on November 4, 2023. With the holiday season underway, vendors and markets shared and sold their work within their business as a way to support their company, and to also serve the Tahoma Band.
Chipping In For The Cooperation
“The purpose of the Holiday Bazaar event is to support our funds for the band, there are different types of activities that assist with fundraising” Mentioned Christina Strayhorn, She is the president of the Tahoma Band Boosters maintains fundraisers dedicated to the band. After the 2020 lockdowns, the numbers of returning vendors are increasing and ready to represent the fundraiser within their business, “We had a hundred paid vendors…” Announced Strayhorn, “and we had about fifty people on a waiting list” In that statement, Strayhorn indicates the vast quantity of available active vendors who were willing to provide services and entertainment for the community to contribute and support businesses. It comes as no surprise that students from the music program were ensured and inclined to volunteer and assist. Within holding annual events for the Maple Valley community, “Usually the community looks for the band boosters to put on a bazaar every year because it brings the community together.” Specified by Strayhorn.
Finding Cheer For All To Hear
Dani Ballard–A senior, and an active member of the Tahoma Band– remarked on the assistance from fellow students. “Helping for events like the bazaar doesn’t take too much effort… oftentimes, enough people volunteer to make the workload super light and allow you to enjoy the event,” they explained.
Kicking off this festive season is something that different individuals are looking forward to celebrating within their own beliefs and celebrations. To this extent, the Tahoma music program showcased their skilled quintets that consisted of a wide range of instruments to raise bright spirits. “We are started off with the bazaar to essentially get our name out there, but we would love to play for events of any kind! Ballard announced, “We’ve rehearsed during lunch multiple times over the past two weeks, and planned to do rehearsals outside of school to get the music perfected.” she revealed about the quintet doing their operations to cultivate the performance at its finest. The impact of the event further encouraged consumers to benefit both the businesses and the Tahoma Band as they promoted their service and hospitality, ensuring the support and the creation of their diligence and hard work.
