Lots of exciting movies are coming out soon or are currently in development that some people might not know about, some of these mentioned by a few of the members of our tiny friend group.
I didn’t even know that Dune: Part 2 was in very deep development til I did some research for this article the other week!
I had known that they production got cleared for a second movie quite a while ago however, the Writers and Actors Strike set it back quite a bit based on it’s heavy CGI, and reliance on actors who are willing to go through lots of exhausting action. Plus, many of the cast is in the Actors’ Guild.
Despite all this drama the set back for the movie is only four months, releasing on March 15, 2024.
Phoebe and Ari said they do not like the Dune franchise.
Phoebe said “The books are just way too long and I have trouble understanding the world and concepts.” after reading almost the whole series. Ari, however, said the concept just “isn’t her thing.”
Hrvoje and I said we both are excited for the movie. Hrvoje has read the books and loves the franchise as well as the previous movie.
I’ve never read the books but I saw the previous movie and absolutely loved it!
Donovan has never really heard of Dune so he has no opinion on this movie but he did talk a bit about the next upcoming movie we talked about; Beetlejuice 2.
All five of us are very excited about this movie coming out in almost a full year from now on September 6, 2024.
The Writers and Actors Strike affected Beetlejuice 2, and production almost stopped due to multiple actors in the cast being a part of the Actors Guild.
However, the movie’s release date remained the same, not moved back at all.
We also talked about how Jenna Ortega has now moved onto Tim Burton’s favorite cast list. I loved Wednesday and can’t wait to see more of her.
Ari really cannot wait for the new Five Nights at Freddy’s movie and the entire group seems to agree.
We all say that the movie will probably get lots of praise from true fans but new fans will probably not enjoy it and opinions of the movie will most likely be 50/50.
