For those who missed it, the Tahoma Bears football team faced off against Kentridge High School on Friday, October 13th. The game was more exciting than anyone anticipated, ending in a 47-0 score in favor of our Blue and Gold stars.
The game was a showcase of absolute domination by the Bears in which we controlled the game from start to end. This game was also dubbed the “senior night” as this would be the farewell game to our seniors because this was their last ever home game of their career for Tahoma.
When the football players were asked how they felt before the game,
“I just thought of it as another normal game, but you know it was a little rough cause this could possibly be my last home game,” responded Kage Repenn.
Then, when they were prompted on whether they felt any extra pressure or excitement due to this being their last home game possibly, they responded with,
“Quote me on this, can’t ice someone who already has ice in his veins,” Kage exclaimed. As evident, after the stellar season Kage has had, he is on cloud 9, and he has no reason not to be.
Alex Mondt had a different take on it,
“I didn’t feel any pressure because I know we can work hard and get another home game to finish it off,” Alex feels hopeful that the team may be able to bring home another home game in the playoffs which will be a great way to send off an amazing season and amazing career for all the senior Tahoma Bears.
The chance of another home game before the end of the season is exciting and Tahoma News sends our best wishes and best of luck to our footballing stars.
And, to the rest of the teams that have to face us in the playoffs, let Alex Mondt relay his message,
“Good luck, we’re coming for the league championship.”
