Homecoming Proposals
October 11, 2022
It’s Football season, You know what that means… HOMECOMING!! It’s right around the corner, I know the posters and asking that special someone is very nerve racking, and some of you like me are nervous to be asked, So i have interviewed a few professionals (people who have asked and been asked) to get the inside scoop on what it’s all about. The nerves and other people watching and fear of rejection are all things we all stress about, Here is the inside scoop on what it’s like.
Our first interviewee was Beckett turnbow a Freshman at Tahoma High school, “I asked a girl from our school for homecoming”. He said that it was a very stressful thing but in the moment, he was having the adrenaline pumping. “ its kind of scary because you never know what they will say as their answer” Beckett said. Becketts Date LIly Tausch also said yes. (Lily Tausch Freshman in Tahoma High school). His poster was original but applied to her sport, a great reference for sign ideas is on TikTok. When making a sign you should try your best to make it apply to your date. It makes the moment a whole lot more special, something to do with her sport or her favorite food or even just something she likes.
Our Second interviewee was Regan Mahoney, A senior at Tahoma High school, Regan was asked her freshman year but that date did not follow through, Regan got asked last week by a boy from a different school, She said “it is a scary experience and you never know what to expect” Regan said that the date she has this year will hopefully work out so she can have a date to her senior year homecoming. Her date did his poster based off of his sport, He plays football so his sign had a football related saying on the poster. That’s another good idea for poster help ideas.
Our third and final interviewee was Hudson Sheridan, Former Tahoma Student Current Highline High school student Junior: Hudson asked his girlfriend of a different school other than Highline on his homecoming football game Hudson is a football player on Highlines varsity team, On a scale from 1-10 hudson gave his experience a 11 Hudson said his poster took him two days and it wasn’t hard to ask, He said “it was a great ending with a even greater girl” Hudson’s poster was a cute poster he found and it had to do with his girlfriends favorite cookie place “crumbl”. His poster was cute and original and a great way to make his girlfriend feel special. Hudson also got his girlfriend crumbl cookies to go with the poster, something small to make a big difference.
So now that you have some tips on easy ways to make your date happy you have many ideas on how to make the most successful poster and homecoming proposal, this shows that you can do it, so go get that date and get that amazing poster done. Homecoming is something to make the best out of and this is some easy things to do to make it the most memorable.
