Not even a week ago, the new NFL schedules for this upcoming season were released. So, how does the Seahawks schedule compare to the rest of league? Well, the Seahawks are in the middle. They appear to have the 15th ranked strength of schedule. Meaning, that the Seahawks have about an average strength of schedule, not an easy one but not a hard one either. The Seahawks have a chance to play five of the six quarterbacks selected in this past years draft. That can easily be an advantage Mike Macdonald and the Seahawks look to capitalize on. While not all of those games are easy, playing a rookie quarterback is certainly better than playing an experienced veteran. Especially for Mike Macdonald, he features one of the more complex defensive schemes in today’s game. So, how many games are the Seahawks going to win? After asking around, Cameron Weisberg commented on the Seahawks potential amount of wins next season. “I can see them winning 10 games, I think playing teams like the Patriots is pretty good for us.” Yet opinions seem to differ, my Dad claimed he only saw the Seahawks winning nine games. “There’s just a lot of question marks entering this season, and just because a game looks easy now, doesn’t mean it will be an easy game come the start of the season.” If everything goes perfectly, the Seahawks could find themselves in the 10-11 win range. However, the safest bet is the Seahawks secure around nine wins in this upcoming season. There’s a lot of questions that have yet to be answered. Such as, coaching, offensive line, has their been defensive improvement? Also, there’s still a lot of youth on the team. Having a young team can result in having less wins. Can some of the younger players put together a better season? Can the unproven coaches be better than the last coaching staff? How will the scheme be implemented? Potential injuries? Much has yet to be answered, but with the season quickly approaching, many of Seahawks fan’s questions will be answered.
