Pirates are Back in Maple Valley!
October 21, 2021
Argh Tahoma!
Last year, in an effort to raise spirits and get people excited for Halloween during the pandemic, the Knudsen family, along with the help of the PTA, Bear Crew and the THS Drama Department, put on a truly haunting drive through pirate ship and haunted mansion experience.
With spooky mad scientists, a ghostly bride and some swashbuckling pirates, the pirate ship raised over $7000 dollars and 6 tons of food for the food bank so families could have food for the upcoming holiday season.
The pirate ship was a smashing success, with lines all the way to four corners. Families came through multiple times to experience the haunted pirate ship.
And guess what Tahoma? The pirate crew is making its way back to Maple Valley.
With the help of the McCracken family and Home Depot, this year will be even bigger, better and spookier with tons of new additions! Be sure to stop by with some non- perishable food or cash donations to earn a sweet surprise and support the Maple Valley Food Bank, St. Jude Children’s Hospital and the Tahoma Middle School PTA.
If you’re lucky, you may even be paid a visit by the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow!
